Port of Spain: It was a match to remember for Jamaica Tallawahs’ (JT) Andre Russell as the all-rounder scored a 40-ball ton, took a hat-trick and also took a spectacular catch in their Caribbean Premier League (CPL ) match against Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) on Saturday. Despite TKR posting a huge total of 223-6 from 20 overs, it was an unbeaten 121 runs from 49 balls by Russell and a well-played half-century by Kennar Lewis (51) which took Jamaica home with a four-wicket win. Apart from these achievements, the 30-year-old West Indian became just the second player in T20 cricket's history to score a century and take a hat-trick in the same game. The only other cricketer to achieve this is Joe Denly, who plays for Kent County Cricket Club in England. Denly has played nine ODIs and five T20Is for England. This was TKR’s first loss in this year’s CPL, whereas the Tallawahs opened their campaign with a memorable win.
